On Saturday, Selena Gomez celebrated fiancé Benny Blanco’s birthday with a gushing tribute on Instagram, marveling over having found him. The carousel of photos were from their time together, including intimate moments at home and seemingly on vacation or behind-the-scenes at award shows.
“I’m not sure what I did to deserve you but damn am I glad you were born.. happy birthday baby ♥️,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
The carousel opened with a photo of Blanco giving her a kiss on the head in front of a gorgeous sunset, followed by some photos from a skiing trip, an image of them cuddled up on the couch, and what looks like a photo from the 2025 Oscars.
In the comments, Blanco wrote, “I love you wifey.”
Gomez’s Emilia Pérez costar Zoe Saldaña also commented, writing, “Happy birthday @itsbennyblanco May the universe continue to bless you both always.”
The couple announced they had gotten engaged in mid-December 2024 after about a year and a half of dating. They had known one another for some time, even working on music together. In February, the pair shared they’d been working on a musical collaboration again and were releasing a new album called I Said I Love You First.
In an interview on Apple Music 1 with Zane Lowe that same month, Gomez said making music together “felt like it was meant to be.”
Blanco added, “You look at both me and Selena, and we’ve been fortunate enough to have these careers that have lasted so long, and this was just an idea that started in our bedroom and it was like, ‘Let’s just make something fun.’”
He continued, “And then it actually was really good, and I was like, holy, we have to do this.”
